Intel在日前發表了新款的低耗電量版四核心CPU「2.83GHz Intel® Core™2 Quad Q9550S」、「2.66GHz Intel® Core™2 Quad Q9400S」與「2.33GHz Intel® Core™2 Quad Q8200S」，TDP從舊款的95W降至65W。

這三款新的低耗電量版Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU，在之前曾謠傳將被Acer、HP、Dell等大廠採用，Apple也預定在新款iMac系列使用此CPU。
