新版Final Cut Pro 8將在2011年春季發佈，並為「史上最大的更新」？

根據9to5Mac的消息，Apple邀請了一小群的影片剪接師到Apple總部試用新的影片編輯產品。此產品應該為Apple專業級套裝軟體「Final Cut Studio」，推出日期在2011年春季。

其中新版的Final Cut Pro據說將會是「史上最大的更新」，有全新的介面、 支援64-bit、以及其他軟體工程上的增強。

關於Final Cut Studio、Xserve與Blu-ray的一些謠言。

根據Hardmac的消息：

下一代Final Cut Studio將會在2011年三月或四月初發表，目前已經在測試Snow Leopard與Lion兩種版本。由於QuickTime layer設計的改變，部分功能將只在Lion中提供。

在Apple宣布停止Xserve產品線後，據說Steve Jobs已經接到大量來自企業IT部門、工作室與研究人員等專業用戶的抱怨。許多人認為Xserve的低銷量並非來自產品本身的問題，而是Apple在銷售面上缺乏動力與支持，因此這部份的問題可能還尚未結束。

而在Blu-ray方面，據說在Apple的內部會議中Steve Jobs仍然沒有改變對Blu-ray的想法。他承認他對Apple加入Blu-ray聯盟感到慚愧，並認為目前Blu-ray聯盟看起來跟黑手黨沒兩樣。而在Blu-ray影片光碟的製作方面，除了DRM之外，在授權方面還必須付$3,000給AACS、$80,000給Sony、40,000給Sonic等公司，因此幾乎不可能將此功能推廣到消費級市場。

同時Steve Jobs也認為，Blu-ray將會是電影與影片最後的物理媒體，下一世代將會完全透過網路平台或是儲存空間來下載。

根據Dustyn Gobler所刊出了一封詢問Steve Jobs關於Final Cut Pro產品的信件，原文如下：

Dear Steve,

Remember the famous transition to Intel keynote you gave on June 6, 2005?

I googled the transcript and when you finally spill the beans you say the words “road map” three times within 5 sentences:

- “we don’t know how to build them with the future PowerPC road map.”

-”…when we look at the future road maps projected out in mid-2006 and beyond,”

-”…but the Intel road map in the future gives us…”

Well Steve, I’m a television postproduction consultant and my clients need a road map too.  Apple’s Pro App road map.  My clients are making multi-year, hundreds of thousands of dollars decisions and we need to know what’s going on with Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Server, and Xsan.   We need to know that Apple won’t abandon Final Cut Pro because selling iPads is more lucrative.

I understand the need for secrecy with your consumer products.  Keep everyone guessing about the 4G iPhone and the Retina display iPad.  But Final Cut Pro and the other “Professional Applications” are different.  Professionals take home their bread because of the work they do with those Applications.  If Apple’s interests have changed, we need to know.

Avid and Adobe have changed.  Both companies now feature product managers blogging about the future of their respective products.  I think Apple, in regards to the Pro Apps can do the same.  And speaking of Avid, I will remind you that one  reason Final Cut Pro gained such a large market share is because Avid ignored their customers for years.  But their turnaround is impressive, and the new version of Media Composer has gotten rave reviews.

I want you to know that I’ve started to field meetings with Avid, and I tell my clients to consider Media Composer, Interplay, and Unity.  The interface may not be pretty, but a reliable road map goes a long way.

I was excited to see the announcements you made today, but was left hanging when there was no announcement of an updated Final Cut Studio. I hope you and others at Apple will remember that your foundation was built on the backs of professional new media producers and scientists who have loved your professional computers and software for years. When will you release an updated version of the Final Cut Studio that will take FULL ADVANTAGE of the wonderful desktop computers and the large amount of RAM they can hold?!?! We need a 64-bit version of Final Cut Studio. Please!

新版Final Cut Studio將會延期到2011年發表？

跟據Hardmac的消息，新版的Final Cut Studio由於在開發上遭遇到重大的困難，因此新版的發佈時間可能會推遲到2011年。據說主要的問題是在統一介面設計時各開發團隊間的歧見，以及資深工程師都被調去開發iOS所導致。

ProKit 5.1 (Leopard & SnowLeopard) 修正了Apple 專業級軟體的UI問題，適用的軟體有Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Aperture, Final Cut Express, Soundtrack, Logic Pro 與 Logic Express。

在前一陣子Apple一口氣裁了40位FCP的開發人員之後，Macsoda寫了一封信給Steve Jobs詢問FCP的未來發展，而Steve Jobs的回應是：

Apple裁減Final Cut Pro開發小組？

根據業界人士的消息，Apple目前已經裁減了40名Final Cut 專業影像剪輯軟體系列的開發小組成員。目前裁減原因不明，有可能是因為結束開發週期、縮小開發規模、或是準備發展新的專案？

Canon將在3月下旬開始免費提供「EOS MOVIE Plugin-E1 For Final Cut Pro」測試版。

Canon宣布，將在三月下旬開始免費提供將EOS DSLR拍攝的HD影片（EOS MOVIE）傳送到 Final Cut Pro 內編輯的官方Plug-In「EOS MOVIE Plugin-E1 For Final Cut Pro」。對應的機種為EOS–1D Mark IV、EOS 5D Mark II、EOS 7D，配合的FCP版本為Ver 6.0.6、Ver 7.0，轉入的格式為ProRes。

關於Snow Leopard、Xserve、Final Cut Studio 3、Shake等相關消息…

為了代替愚人節笑話，Hardmac.com提供了以下一堆關於關於Snow Leopard、Xserve、Final Cut Studio 3、Shake等產品的一些消息…

• Snow Leopard將不會在9月前發表，5月時將會有更詳細的訊息。


• 目前QuickTime X, Open CL 與 Large Central 部份仍然有大量的工作需要完成。


• 內部版本已經支援Blu-ray，不過Apple目前尚未對取得Blu-ray授權部份展開任何動作。


• 新款Xserve將在六月發售，同時Mac Pro將追加Xeon 3.2GHz與Quadro FX5800的選項。


• 移動裝置（MacBook/Pro/Air?）將在11月開始採用Nehalem處理器。

Apple將在NAB會展期間發表新版「Final Cut Studio」與其他專業級軟體？

根據消息，雖然Apple今年可能不會參加NAB（National Association of Broadcasters）展覽，不過可能在今年NAB展期前後發佈旗下新版的專業級影音編輯套裝軟體「Final Cut Studio」。



另外，目前已宣佈不再繼續開發的原Apple高階影像合成軟體「Shake」，據傳Apple準備以開發代號為「Phenomenon」的軟體取代，該軟體以Motion為基礎開發，有可能在本次Final Cut Studio改版時一併發表。



Apple的專業級RAW顯像＆相片管理軟體「Aperture」，也有可能同時更新，並新增支援64-bit的能力。



而其他Apple專業級軟體，諸如「Final Cut Server」、「Logic Studio」也有一併更新的可能。

據德國Sevenmac.de的匿名（有人不是匿名的嗎？）消息，傳說中3月24的Apple Special Event將會更新Apple旗下的專業級影片剪輯套裝軟體「Final Cut Studio」。不過該報導同時也指出，目前正在進行內部測試的新版Final Cut Studio軟體bug多多，很有可能會因此延後發表時程數星期。

不過Apple似乎很少會為了新版軟體而單獨舉辦媒體發表會，更不用說是專業級軟體…而且到目前為止似乎也沒人收到Apple的官方邀請函，還是說Apple今年除了Jobs大神回歸之外真的沒其他新聞可以炒了？
