將iPod/iPhone使用同步線連接至Mac，並開啟iRip後，可選擇「Automatic Recover」將iPod/iPhone內的音樂、影片與播放列表備全部備份回Mac上的iTunes資料庫。或是選擇「Manual Import」手動備份檔案。（iPod使用時需先開啟磁碟功能）

選擇「Manual Import」後，會顯示iPhone/iPod內的音樂、影片與播放清單。可在視窗中選擇要匯入Mac的檔案後點擊左下角的「Import」按鈕匯入iTunes資料庫，或是直接將檔案拖曳到桌面或是資料夾內存放。
